Our history
Altitude Optométrie est née de la vision du Dr Georges Louis, diplômé de l'Université de Montréal en 2018. Après avoir obtenu son doctorat en optométrie, il a exercé comme optométriste volant dans plus de 30 cliniques à travers la province, notamment sur les régions de la Côte-Nord, Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches. Cette expérience unique l’a inspiré à obtenir sa licence de pilote d’avion, alliant ainsi ses deux passions: l'optométrie et l'aviation. C’est ainsi que le nom "Altitude Optométrie" a vu le jour.
Today, Dr. Louis is supported by his partner, Dr. Danielle Richard, who also graduated in 2018 and is a former traveling optometrist. Together, they share a common vision for quality care and a passion for innovation in optometry. Drawing on their diverse backgrounds, they founded Altitude Optometry with the goal of combining medical expertise and technical precision to provide quality eye care in Gatineau.
